Awarding Ceremony on March 11

The awarding ceremony for the Ten Outstanding Elementary Pupils and the Ten Outstanding Secondary School Students of Iloilo for the academic year 2010-2011 is on March 11, 2011 at 2:00pm at the Social and Cultural Hall, Department of Education, Gen. Luna St., Iloilo City.

Attire is ‘Sunday best’ for the ladies, and barong and black pants for the gentlemen. Awardees, parents and family are adviced to come at 1:30 pm.@

This is the NEXT story.

That day, my friend and I were walking along the beach where countless of clams were scattered, left by the receding tide. Surely, it would not take long before the searing heat of the sun would kill the hapless clams. I started to pick up some and threw them back to the sea.

My friend noticed me. "What are you doing? What difference can you make? There are thousands of clams on the beach and you can't possibly return all of them to the sea!"
