Press Release: Public schools top OSCI awards

Public schools dominate the Outstanding Students Circle of Iloilo (OSCI) awards for the academic year 2010-2011.

JINNAH MAE C. VILLANUEVA of the SPED – Integrated School for Exceptional Children topped the list of awardees in the elementary level and is therefore the Most Outstanding Elementary Pupil of Iloilo for the academic year 2010-2011. Jinnah was a stand-out in the national Tagisan ng Talino, a regional champion in journalism, an awarded speaker, and a student leader. She topped the co-curricular component of the Search and also got high marks in the academic and interview components. Jinnah’s feat repeats the record of SPED-ISEC in 2006 when it also topped the list of the Ten Outstanding Elementary Pupils of Iloilo that academic year. SPED-ISEC is one of the few schools which has consistently appeared in the winners’ circle every year.
