TOESP Awarding Ceremony On March 17, 2017

The awarding ceremony for the Ten Outstanding Elementary School Pupils of Iloilo for the Academic Year 2016-2017 is on March 17, 2017, 1:00 pm, at the Educational Media Center (please see map), Central Philippine University, Jaro, Iloilo City. Attire for awardees is ‘Sunday best’ for ladies, and barong and black pants for gentlemen. The call time is 12:30 pm. 

Certificates of recognition to the coaches and to the schools of the awardees will also be given.

Schools are requested to bring their school flags and carriers to accompany the awardees during the processional. 

The Educational Media Center (EMC) is in the second floor of building #6.@

Our Souvenir Program Cover

Gansilyo /ɡänsilyo/ (from Spanish  ganchillo) Ilonggo term meaning v. to make a piece of needlework by looping thread with a hooked needle; or n. a  needlework made by looping thread with a hooked needle. Gansilyo had been a popular hobby among women when they held the stereotyped role of tending the home and the kids. But as women get out of the homes to join the workforce and traditional women roles vanish,  so do traditional hobbies like gansilyo. They lost their appeal for being impractical and time consuming. The homes are now draped with manufactured fabrics, while the handmade gansilyo are mothballed in comodas as dainty heirlooms. hbc

Please report for Orientation on March 4, 2016, 2:00pm at Monfort Hall, Department of Education Bldg, Luna St., La Paz, Iloilo City. Please wear your school uniforms and bring paper and ballpen.

Some features of the Awarding Program will be announced during the Orientation.

The Orientation will be conducted by the batch D'Olympians or the TOSSS of Iloilo 2015 awardees with the help of other senior awardees. @
